VEGAN OREO CAKE

I love food! And espacially this super delicious Oreo Cake whose recipe I found on that sweet blog . A vegan friend of mine turned 16 about a month ago and the cake was one part of my present. And because that was just the best cake I’ve ever made- vegan or not- I want to share it with you. So here is the recipe translated into english:

In total you need about 40 oreo cookies.

LIGHT DOUGH

  • 200 gram flour
  • 100 gram sugar
  • 10 gram vanilla sugar
  • 3.5-7 gram baking powder
  • filling of four oreo cookies
  • a twist of lemon juice
  • a pinch of salt
  • 20 gram agave sirup
  • 200 ml water
  • 50 ml neutral (tasteless) oil

DARK DOUGH

  • 400 gram flour
  • 200 gram sugar
  • 20 gram vanilla sugar
  • 50 gram cacao powder
  • the biscuits of the four oreos (without filling)
  • a twist of lemon juice
  • 7-10.5 gram baking powder
  • 40 gram agave sirup
  • 400 ml water
  • 100 ml neutral oil

CREAM

  • 2 packets of soyatoo or any other vegan whipping cream
  • rest of the oreo cookies
  • 2 packages of cream stiff ( 2x 6 gram)

WHAT TO DO?

  1. Mix all the ingredients for the light dough and bake it for about 20 minutes at 160-170 degrees in convection oven (hot-air fan)
  2. Let the light cake cool down and then pull it out of the cake tin
  3. Mix all the ingredients for the dark dough and bake it for about 40-45 minutes at 170 degrees in convection oven (hot-air fan)
  4. Let the dark cake cool down and cut it into two cake bases
  5. Whip the vegan whipping cream and the cream stiff and mix in some crumbled oreo coockies and also add just the fillings of 8 oreos
  6. Take the first dark cake base and put a bit of the cream, you mixed in step five, on it. Then place the light cake base on the cream and put some oreo cream on it as well. Place the last cake base on the cream and also coat that little cake tower with oreo cream.
  7. Now you can decorate the cake the way you want.

And tadaaaaa! You did it.

Here you see a few pictures of the oreo cake I made:

In the end I wish you all a ‘bon apetit’.

xoxo
